DAY 2 May 26,2009

I woke up at day break to the amazing beauty of Lees Ferry. Walked across the Navajo Bridge - completely alone with the exception of a few cars passing on the new bridge. Here is a gorgeous view of the Colorado River (Lee’s Ferry at the top of the photo) from old Navajo Bridge.

Into Page, AZ for breakfast & groceries-nothing special. On to Glen Canyon Dam for the Dam Tour. It was great!

After the dam tour, I headed south passing White Mesa - beautiful layers of whit rock contrasting against the surrounding red rock. Then I found a free campground with flush toilets and running water-BONUS! Kicked back for the rest of the day, observing wildlife (like this "squatter" lizard in my campsite) and watching a beautiful sunset from the Sunset Point Campground in Navajo National Monument.
